Emilie Lepennec made history by earning the 1st Olympic gold medal for France in women's artistic. She won the uneven-bars in Athens 2004, defeating the queen Khorkina (RUS), Kupets and Humphrey (USA).

A talented gymnast, Emilie has trained since 2001 at the INSEP. Her strong points are the uneven bars and the floor, but she is also very complete on the 4 apparatus and can classed amount the best of the competition. In 2003 she won the Gold medal on the Uneven bars in a stage of the World Cup, in front of the Russian Svetlana Khorkina multiple Medallist on this apparatus.
